Security Culture conference, Bratislava

On 22 October 2019, representatives of the Common Vision civic association attended the Security Culture conference organized by the National Labor Inspectorate (NIP) in cooperation with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) at the Saffron Hotel in Bratislava.

A lot of stimulating information on how to build a safety culture in Slovak and foreign companies, excellent lecturers and almost 120 participants from all over Slovakia. This is a brief summary of the zero year of the conference.

The conference was also a working meeting of members of the EU-OSHA National Network in Slovakia, which we were part of and the culmination of a two-year campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health, entitled “Healthy Workplaces Control Dangerous Chemical Substances”. As part of this campaign, the National Labor Inspectorate, as the EU-OSHA National Focal Point in Slovakia, prepared a series of seminars and other awareness-raising activities on health and safety issues for both professionals and the general public in 2018-2019. At the same time, the members of the National Network discussed the planning of activities for 2020, which will launch a new campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work entitled “Healthy Workplaces Reducing Burdens”. The campaign will officially start in October next year and will focus primarily on the problems of the musculoskeletal system.
