On May 4-5, 2016, the 42nd year of the SOŠ contest in the field of OSH was held in Tatranská Lomnica.
The event took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic Petra Plavčana and Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and the Family of the Slovak Republic, Jan Richter. Ing. Martin Mokoš, a representative of the civic association Common Vision and the Union of Construction Entrepreneurs of Slovakia was a member of the jury.
Students competed in three rounds. The first round consisted of a test section, of 10 questions. In the second round, practical situations were simulated – videofilms and images in which students had to describe the shortcomings of OSH. The third round consisted of an oral answer from the general rules and regulations on OSH provision.
Schools and individuals with the highest number of points received valuable prizes from sponsors, including the Union of Construction Enterpreneurs of Slovakia. More information about the competition can be found at www.ioz.sk.
